I've been experimenting with the Relight output file format for sharing files using a web viewer to access. The files are rather large that I am building and they take a bit too long to load as is. I admit I don't know all the ins and outs of the DeepZoom, TarZoom and iTarZoom variations other than to understand that they all are some variation of tiling the image files so they load more quickly. In testing out the three options, DeepZoom fails to load from our server which I am told is running Apache. TarZoom and iTarZoom both load from the server and I note that the TarZoom files are a bit smaller in storage size than the iTarZoom files. Since they both work, I'm leaning to working with TarZoom output files. My issue is that when I try to load these files from an iPad or iPhone, the whole set of four icons (The ones that include the layers and light icons) don't draw in unless I rotate the screen 90 degrees and then they pop in on the lower right corner as expected. This happens regardless of whether the device is horizontal or vertical orientation when loading the file. It still needs to be rotated once and then the icons will be present regardless of any change in orientation.

I thought maybe this was a Safari glitch but it also happens exactly the same way using Chrome and Firefox apps.

I just double checked on my phone and the issue happens even with the example files that Carla shared in another thread.

I don't know if this is related to the TarZoom file specifically or all of the Relight builds. Any ideas what might cause this hang up initially?

Thanks,
Rich
