Gilles
Hi, Where do I find datasets of source images (paints, artefacts, rocks, or others) acquired with the RTI technique? (not the PTM or RTI files) Are there any projects in the CHI that put open access this kind of image data on the web? Thank you in advance for your answer Gilles
cdschroer
Gilles, We make an example set available for folks who are working with RTIBuilder. We also have some sample data that we use in our training class. We haven't made more general data sets available, because really no one has asked for them. Folks often want to see examples, so we have made some finished results available in a variety of forms, and we have pointed to other people's work. We have also shared specific data with researchers. Some data we are in a position to share, and some is more restricted - depends on the terms when we worked with the collection or site. So really, my question is what kinds of examples are you looking for and for what purpose. If you want to see and share examples of RTI - there are some videos on our website, and also this page with links to a lot of other projects: http://culturalheritageimaging.org/Technologies/RTI/more_rti_examples.html There are many more examples not listed here - this page hasn't been updated in a while ,and it was never intended to be all inclusive.
