custom values ignored in snapshots

dear fellow RTI enthusiasts,

i ´ve had this dillema on my laptop and my desktop-pc, anyone else experiencing this problem?

when i take a snapshot, my set parameters for the filters are ignored, and i get a snapshot with the default values of the respective filter instead..so far this only occurs when viewing PTMs, snapshots with custom values of RTIs work like a charm.

thanks for any ideas! ;)

Hi Tom,

I've never seen this happen, and I use that feature a lot. I am mostly on a mac, but when we do training we often use PCs, and I know we have a number of PC users out there. What platform are you on, and which OS level? Can you upload an image and also a screen shot of your settings?

I did a bit of experimentation and found that for coefficient unsharp masking, the produced snapshot, is, as you show not matching what we see on screen and is closer to the default view. However, all other rendering modes, the snapshot worked properly. So, for now, I'll have to say use the other rendering modes for snapshots, or do a screen capture as a workaround for that one mode.

There is not currently a planned update to the RTiViewer, but I'll pass along this problem for when there is one (we are trying to get funding for a bunch of new viewer stuff)

  • 9 months later...

As I've noted elsewhere in the forums, we are working on a 1.1 update to RTIViewer.  I hope to have it out by the end of this month (at this point it is all volunteer efforts to finish it, because we only had a tiny budget for this update, and it has been spent) Anyway, I checked this, and it seems to be working properly in the update.

Stay tuned for more on the new release.  Also, please consider donating to CHI to help us keep the releases and user guides, etc. updated.  We are asking that all folks who use RTI tools and user guides to make a $50 donation every year.  If folks did this, it would make a huge difference in our ability to keep all these things going. (including the forums)
